Soaked up the medieval atmosphere at Devin Castle 12 km ouside Bratislava city centre today. The history behind the castle is about the rise and fall of Great Moravia.

It was blown up by Napoleon’s army. Later declared to be a national cultural monument of Slovakia. Devin Castle is situated on a cliff (85 metres above water level) over the Morava and Danube rivers, and stands on the frontier between Slovakia and Austria. It offer beautiful panoramic views.
